Everything is a vibration, like attracts like, energy out equals energy in. These are ways that the law of attraction has been described. It’s a woo woo one today guys! It can be hard when you want something, not to focus on the lack of it but this is what we must do to attract it in. For example, you need to focus on the feeling and the thoughts a Ryan-Gosling-alike boyfriend will bring rather than feeling the lack of him. I recently read, “Ask and it is given”, an Abraham Hicks book, and in it they describe what the law of attraction is and some practical ways we can cultivate it.

Rampage of appreciation: Gratitude is like magic, it can turn anything and everything around. If you find yourself paddling upstream, heading into bad-feeling territory, turn the boat downstream by naming out loud, things you are grateful for. Start simple and general and then you get on a roll and can rampage as you float downstream with ease as the goodness escalates!

Take a nap: You are in your natural energy state when you wake up, so it’s important to set a good tone for the day with a funky alarm tone or something lovely to look at when you open your eyes. Likewise, if you’re in a funk and can’t shift a bad-feeling state, you can go to bed. Take a nap or call it a night and when you come-to, the energy will have shifted. I love how Abraham says that life’s not meant to be hard, it’s meant to be easy so give into the path of least resistance and sleep it off. .

Reach for a better feeling: Anger is a step up the emotional evolutionary scale from despair as there’s energy behind it. You can’t go straight from feeling despair to feeling happy but you can just keep reaching for a slightly better feeling than the one you currently have like from anger to discouragement and slowly work your way up.

Vision board: Spend time day-dreaming and visualing how you want your life to be. Create a visual display of your dream life. What you want to be, do and have. Abraham says that wellbeing is lined up outside our door waiting for us to let it in. Rip pics out of magazines (teeny bopper style) to decorate your wall, fridge and mirror. These give you positive feelings and therefore help raise your vibration and attract what you want.
