So Fresh & So Clean, Clean

Ain’t nobody dope as me, I’m just so fresh, so clean. So fresh and so clean, clean. Outkast “So Fresh, So Clean”

An ass that won’t quit

In reality, we have the opportunity to begin again in each moment. But there is something particularly powerful about the fresh start offered by a new day, week, month and especially a new year. I realise I’m not suddenly going to have a brand new bangin’ body or be a billionaire but I can lay the foundations and habits to build a healthier wealthier me and be on my way to unleashing my inner J-Lo (Y-Ho). An important part of this is a New Year Intention Setting Ceremony. So fresh and so clean, clean.

Ohhh fragrant.

Sacred space: Do some clearing and cleansing of your home (literally and energetically) first. Sage stuff, light a candle, hold a crystal and have a cool refreshing drink nearby.

There is no spoon.

Letting go of 2021: Reflect and journal on the year that was. Rachel Brathen, Yoga Girl, suggests asking yourself, “What patterns, self-talk, people, places, or things are you ready to move on from? When you’re ready, open your journal and write whatever surfaces, then, try to summarize what you’d like to let go of in one word or sentence.” After enough writing to create my own ‘2021 Burn Book’, the word I came up with is ‘heavy’. Talking/thinking smack about myself or others feels heavy. Watching endless negative news cycles feels heavy. Eating crappy food feels heavy (literally). Burning these Burn Book pages (safety first) is a symbolic way to let go. Drop 2021 like it’s hot.

Moving into 2022: What do you want your year to look like? Spend some time dreaming about your ideal life. Mine involves time spent with friends and in nature. Work I enjoy with and for people I love who love me. Nurturing my health and my home environment. Leaning into my passions of writing and wellness. Deepening my knowledge of the dewey decimal system. Rachel advises to write about and create 3 goals in the areas of Home, Mind, Body and Soul. From there you can look for your recurring themes and set an intention, affirmation and word for the year. Mine are; I am present (intention). I am peacefully positively present (affirmation). Peaceful (word).

Somewhere in my heart I’m always
running with you in the Summer rain

Vison boarding: I’m looking forward to a wild NYE doing some cutting and pasting to create my 2022 vision board. I heard Mel Robbins on a podcast talking about how our vision boards should depict the process and not just the outcome. Like instead of the beach house, a picture of someone working on their business to make the money for it. Instead of the bikini babe, a picture of someone working out to build their booty. Or else the gap between your actual and dream lives won’t be bridged.  She often puts a picture of her running in the rain, because this is how she draws motivation to do the work rain or shine. I like this and will make sure to include some habit pics on mine.

Are you setting any New Year’s goals to utilise the so fresh and so clean, clean energy? Happy New Year and hope to be peacefully positively presently here for you in 2022.

Love and light and 3-2-1 Mwaahh xoxo Yvette

  1. Here’s to a fresh 2022 darlin!
Burning of the pages reminded me of my catholic school boy days, where we seemed to always be burning our regrets and negative thoughts in a circle on the tarmac tennis courts with a kindly nun looking on. Oh dear…
HAPPY NEW YEAR!! From COVID quarantino per favoro xx

    1. David you were certainly an asset to the abbey! Lol 😂 No fire 🔥 ceremonies condoned in my school days! Enjoy seeing regrets going up in a puff of smoke 💨 now though. I hope you have a wonderful New Year if Dom Profiteroles allows. Hoping to see more of you down South in 22! Xoxo 😘
