I’m Feeling 2022!

“I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling 22. Everything will be alright if, you keep me next to you. You don’t know about me but I’ll bet you want to. Everything will be alright if we just keep dancing like we’re 22!” Taylor Swift “22”

Twenty two ooooo

Yay for a new year. A chance to start fresh. And get a thrill every time I say or write 22 because…Taylor but also cos 11 is my favourite number and 22 is double that. How do you want to feel in 2022? It’s happy, healthy, abundant, fun and free for me!

Decide what kind of life you actually want, then say no to everything which isn’t that.

Writing a list of things that give you joy and then doing a few each day can help us actively cultivate happiness. The simplicity of these may surprise you. Some of mine are; reading, walking, sleeping on clean sheets, morning coffee, petting pets, watching a new ep of “Succession” etc. Also having a Dory-like memory for critical words or thoughts (from yourself or others) is helpful. ‘Bygones!’ I say to myself and 2 seconds later I’m like ‘Gloss rhymes with hair’.

This year I’m making health a priority. My current formula is a daily meditation (insight timer) and a Pilates/yoga flow on the Melissa Wood Health app (short and sweet at 10-20 minutes). Her motto is that a little bit everyday makes a big difference to how you feel and it really does seem to. I’ve dug out the old Fitbit too and get a thrill when I get the 10,000 daily step vibrations. Even if it means pushing myself off the couch of an evening to take a lap around the block.

“When money comes into your life say ‘arigato’: thank you. And when you spend money, when money leaves your life, you also say thanks.”Ken Honda “Happy Money

To up the feelings of abundance, I’m trying to be as grateful for money out as money in. I’ve put my savings on autopilot and am focusing on all forms of money manifested. Be it 30c interest or being gifted a $30 voucher. Money is energy which is flowing and growing!

“My A.A. stands for Amazing Awesomeness and it only has two steps. Step #1: Admit that…..’Something amazingly awesome is going to happen to me today.’ Step #2: Come to believe…..in blessings and miracles. Find 3 new things to be grateful for each day.” Pam Grout

Focusing on feeling fun and free is…well, fun! I’ve been doing Pam’s version of AA for the past month and stating out the mantra out loud each morning complete with fist bump feels great even if it startles the cat. Actively thinking of 3 new things to be grateful for each day for 30 days, stretches the brain to see and appreciate more of the good in the everyday.

What are you looking forward to in the new year?

Love and light and keep on dancing like we’re twenty-two ooo ooo oooo xxx Yvette

  1. I agree Yvette of Thornbury….seek and the Universe will provide. Im finding many joys amidst the hurly burly of life. It is just a matter of stopping to see.

In 2022 I will be working on 4 legged furry joyfulness. Less pager and more nature. Rekindling my love of reading. Sharing experiences with family amd friends.

    See you in the 11’s
