Money Lovey

I have no experience but I’m a big fan of money. I like it, I use it, I have a little. I keep it in a jar on top of my refrigerator. I’d like to put more in that jar. Robbie “The Wedding Singer”

My wrist, stop watchin’, my neck is flossin’
Make big deposits, my gloss is poppin’
You like my hair? Gee, thanks, just bought it
I see it, I like it, I want it, I got it (Yeah

Ariana Grande “7 Rings”

Like Robbie and Ariana, I’m a big fan of money and having a neck that’s flossin (see leopard print scarf). But how can I reframe my relationship with money so it’s vibrating at the frequency of abundance and I have more bunse. The first thing money experts from the woo-woo to the practical suggest is to get real with your numbers. Ignorance may be bliss but if you don’t know how much you’re spending/ earning/ saving/ in-debting you have less chance of buying 7 rings/ earning good bunse/ saving fat stacks/ un-debting in the future. Face your figures and see how being crystal clear about your numbers helps you to move firmly in the direction of big deposits.

Author Dr John Demartini says that money likes a safe house and “when you manage money wisely, you receive more money to manage”. Even the simple action of writing down ‘money in’ and ‘money out’ for me has been enlightening and I’ve made some small changes that feel good. Like buying my $80 filter coffee machine rather than spending $5-10 on café coffees daily. (Bonus: its timer feature is like the coffee alarm/ boyfriend I’ve always wanted!) Ditto discovering bargains at Aldi in the aisle of dreams, using Movie Gift Vouchers I’d forgotten about, auto-depositing savings and saying yes to extra shifts and babysitting. Scott Pape, the Barefoot Investor, suggests a 3-bucket strategy of Blow (spendings), Mojo (savings) and Grow (compoundings) and he lives on a farm and has a dog so you can trust him.

Mindset underpins everything as always and if you’re stuck in a feeling of lack or have a dysfunctional relationship with money it’s important you heal it so you can move towards having your receipts be looking like phone numbers. In addition to visioning my abundant future with beachside crib and writing daily gratitude lists, I’ve also been trying asking lofty questions. Instead of asking crappy questions like, ‘How come I’m always broke?’ and ‘Why do I have so many bills?’, energy healer Christie Marie Sheldon suggests we ask lofty ones instead like, “Why do I always have more money than I need?” and “Why is my life so amazing?” Since the Universe always answers you back, why not ask questions that lift you? Try asking some of these daily or reframing your crappy questions into lofty ones.

So, get clear about your past and present money and skyrocket your future abundance with a mix of sense and spirituality.

Love and light. Why do I always have the most supportive readers and why is my gloss always poppin’? Xxx Yvette

  1. Oh so true my dear friend! I am trying to change my mental process in relation to money, for instance being grateful when I receive a bill that I am lucky enough to have money to pay for it. It is tricky, but hopefully with all this positive woo woo thinking, we will be rolling in cash in no time lol

  2. Relationships with money are in some ways like relationships with people…

    Flashy
    Extravagant
    Dysfunctional
    Unrealistic
    Hopeful
    Idealistic

    Good bad and ugly….

Well done Yvette of the North on examining where you stand in yours. Highlighting ideas for us. Perhaps like all things these are works in progress. Requiring goal settings…Re examining … resetting.

Nothing ever reaches perfection does it? But if we keep reassessing as we go then at least were conscious of where we are and what’s happening.

Surely there is irony in “Get rich or die tryin…50cent” 🤓

    Thanks for your words Y
    M 🙂
